Contingent funding, delivered through your solicitor

Funding for what's coming to you

Probate advances for beneficiaries and funding for family law clients. You repay from the estate or the settlement, never from your own pocket. If the money doesn't come through, we carry the loss.

Working through your solicitor, never around them.

Non-recourse: no claim on you personally No credit checks: we assess the case, not your history Fixed fee: agreed in writing before you sign Fast: indicative offer in two working days

Probate advances

Estates take months to distribute, sometimes more than a year. Your inheritance shouldn't have to wait for the paperwork.

Inheritance, early

For beneficiaries waiting on a share of an estate

Where an estate is in probate and you're waiting on distribution, we advance part of your entitlement now. Repayment comes from the estate when it distributes. Nothing personal, no monthly payments, no shortfall claim against you if the estate disappoints.

  • Advance against a share of your entitlement
  • Funds released within days of approval
  • Estate administration stays with your solicitor
  • You keep everything left after repayment

When it helps

The gap between the funeral and the funds

Funeral costs, debts, inheritance tax, a house move that can't wait on the estate, or simply keeping life going while the grant and administration run their course. If the estate is real and your share is identifiable, the money can be with you long before the final distribution.

  • Cover immediate costs without selling assets
  • No effect on the estate's administration
  • Works alongside executors and the family solicitor
  • Confidential: no one needs to know but you

Family funding

A strong case shouldn't collapse because the money ran out. We fund financial remedy claims properly, and get paid from the result.

Fees funded, properly

For financial remedy and children matters

We fund solicitor fees and the ATE insurance premium so a client with a strong claim can run it properly, with the solicitor of their choosing. The premium can roll into the funding so there's nothing to find upfront at all.

  • Solicitor fees paid as the case runs
  • ATE premium funded alongside
  • Your solicitor keeps conduct throughout
  • Repaid from the settlement, only

What if the case loses?

That's our problem, not the client's

Funding is contingent. If the settlement or award doesn't cover what's owed to us, the shortfall is ours to absorb. The client is never asked to find the difference from savings, salary, or borrowing. That's what makes this funding, not a loan.

  • No personal covenant or guarantee
  • No monthly repayments
  • No effect on how the claim is valued
  • Disclosed where the court requires it

How it works

No portals to learn, no reams of paperwork. Usually done through your solicitor in a single conversation.

1
1

Enquiry

Five minutes of basic details, usually sent by your solicitor. That's the whole ask.

2
2

Assessment

We look at the estate or the claim: its strength, size and timescale. Not your credit history.

3
3

Offer

A fixed fee and the advance amount, in writing, before you sign anything. Take it or leave it.

Funds

Paid within days of acceptance. Repayment comes later, from the estate or the settlement.

For solicitors

We work through firms, not around them. You keep conduct, you keep the client relationship, and you stay in control of the money.

How the referral works

Send us the basics on the matter; an indicative offer comes back within two working days. If the client accepts, the agreement is between us and them, and you stay informed at every step you'd expect to be. We don't approach your client directly without your agreement, and we never give legal advice.

  • Indicative offer within two working days
  • No fees or commissions to referrers, so no conflicts to paper
  • Client conduct and correspondence stay with the firm
  • We support, and comply with, your professional disclosure duties

Distribution stays with you

On a probate advance we're repaid from the estate by the executor. On a family case we're repaid from settlement proceeds through your client account. The advance never needs to pass through the client's hands, which removes the flight risk and keeps the file clean.

  • Repayment via client account or executor
  • Charge over the beneficiary's entitlement, documented properly
  • Full documentation for the file and for audit
  • One named contact for the firm, always

What it costs

One fixed fee, known before you sign. Nothing ticks while you wait.

A fixed fee, quoted per case

Every case is different, so the fee is quoted when the offer is made: a single figure, in writing, covering the whole advance. No monthly interest running while the estate or the case takes its time, no arrangement fees, no exit fees, no hidden anything.

Repayment = the advance + the fixed fee. That's the whole sum, known from day one.

Questions, answered plainly

Is this a loan?
No. A loan is repayable whatever happens. Our funding is contingent: it's repaid only from the estate or the settlement. If that money never arrives, there's nothing to repay and we carry the loss. That's the difference between us and a bank.
What if the estate can't pay, or the case loses?
The loss is ours. There's no personal covenant, no guarantee, and we won't pursue the client or their family for a shortfall. We only fund cases and estates we've assessed as sound, which is why we can work this way.
Do you do credit checks?
No. We don't look at credit history, income, or outgoings. We look at the estate or the legal claim: its value, its strength, and how long it's likely to take. The security is the asset, not the person.
Will funding affect my claim or my award?
Funding doesn't change what the claim is worth. Where the court or the rules require disclosure of third-party funding, your solicitor handles it with our full cooperation. Our repayment comes out of proceeds, not out of the assessed award.
How fast is it?
An indicative offer within two working days of receiving the details. Funds are typically released within days of the agreement being signed. We don't sit on files, because people who need this are usually already waiting on something.
Does my solicitor have to be involved?
Nearly always, yes, and that's deliberate. It keeps the money properly documented, keeps repayment flowing through the estate or client account, and protects everyone. We work with firms across England and Wales and never poach a client from their solicitor.
Are you regulated?
Providing litigation and estate funding on a contingent, non-recourse basis isn't a regulated financial activity, so we're not FCA-authorised. Insurance arrangements connected with funded cases are placed through authorised insurance intermediaries. We're not a law firm and never give legal advice; conduct of the matter always stays with your solicitor.
What do you need from me to start?
The estate: confirmation of your entitlement and the estate's progress through probate, usually via the solicitor acting. A family case: the solicitor's view of the claim and an idea of timescale. That's enough for an indicative offer.
